December 3rd Free Agents Match-Up

After a week long hiatus, Free Agents resumed at Ambassador Stadium. This past Saturday, Free-Agents Football saw the "Return of Ronnie" a true Free Agent on loan from Ohio's Free-Agent expansion league. Ronnie took on the QB position for Tony "Govanator" Will's Yellow team. Ronnie won the weeks MVP after he threw for 330 yrds, 1 Rush TD, and 3 INT's. The game ended in a draw, even though Ronnie swore there was a trophy for hardest hustler and a $50 cash prize for every stripped ball.

Other Highlights -
  • Andrew Boehner was the GO-TO GUY for the Blue Team during the crucial 3rd & 4th downs. He converted on 4 separate occasions; 2 leading to big breaks and TD's.
    • Although it was in the low 50's Andrew showed up in shorts and a T-shirt. Which makes me believe that people from Texas know football and nothing else...like weather conditions and appropriate clothing.
  • Alex "AK-47" Krows had a kick-off return on the first play of the game. He blew past every defender, then had a mad cut on the kicker who then slipped and ate mad shit....Krows walked into the end zone.
  • Ndamukong Drew had another great defensive effort and is a strong candidate for the Free Agent Defensive MVP honors. He picked off Yellow Team's captain Ronnie 2 separate times, 1 leading to a touchdown the next play.
  • The play of the game, was hands down, Kyle Krol's early touchdown in the South Endzone of Ambassador Stadium. Ronnie spotted Krol late in his route, and cannoned the ball towards him. After a momentous leap, and full extension Krol snagged the ball on his finger tips, landed after what seemed like an eternity, and kept both feet in.
  • Anthony Will of the yellow team stated that, "It was the most beautiful thing I've ever seen on a football field. The fall leaves, the sun going down behind the city skyline, Krol's masculine frame....& the fact that he caught the ball wasn't bad either."

Kyle Krol had no comment in regards to Will's quote.

Saturday - Nov. 14th

Saturday November 14ths matchup brought together Captains Bryan Miller & Drew Bruggerman in a battle that lasted for nearly 2 hours. The game ended in a draw after the Blue team botched a lateral on a kickoff return. Mike Higbee dove to the floor & came up with the fumble for Team Yellow and was awarded the "Burnetts Vodka- Game Changing Play of the Game."

Game Highlights -
  • Week MVP honors go to Anthony "Governor" Will who had a record breaking first half. He used a combination of speed, power, and elusive hips to land him 5 TD's and nearly 115 receiving yards. After speaking with his agent at halftime, the Governator decided to lay off the gas and hold out until his contract would "get me paid!."
    • There was also a Democratic rally at the Veterans Memorial just South of Ambassador Stadium. Tony was obviously sidetracked watching the rally from afar. The excitement could be seen on his face, as he obviously wanted to support the Democrats.
  • Mike Briggs was forced to play all time QB after complaining of menstrual cramps after running back a kick off the very first play of the game.
  • Zach "Stone Hand" Fromm had a dismal first half after dropping 5 passes in the open field. He made up for his first half performance during the second while landing 2 TD's.
  • The Yellow Team was stopped 2 consecutive times on 4th down. The last being a 4th & Goal, goal-line tackle by Blue Team Captain Ndamukong Drew.  Drew finished the game with 9 tackles & 50+ receiving yards.

HighLights
  • League Commish Kyle Krol surprised the teams after he hired a DJ to pump up the crowd and players with some jams during the pregame and first half of the game. The DJ left at halftime after he figured out Mr. Krol was not going to pay him.
  • Newcomer to the League - Michael Toscano from E.R.A.C. had an immediate impact on the game, as he took over QB responsibilities for Team Blue. He connected to Week MVP Krol a total of 8 times, 3 leading to TDs. Toscano finished 28/35 and threw for 340 yards.
  • Alex Krows had a decent game with a kickoff return for 6 and a handful of completions. He finished the day with 4 scores and 90+ receiving yards.

  • Midway through the second half, Zach Fromm had an unbelieveable catch as he pinned the ball against his head with his fist while flexing as he crossing the plane. Fromm was stated saying "If I can score a touchdown and flex the guns, then that's a win/win. I should be getting paid for lookin' this good"
  • Nikki "Not-So-Fierce" Pierce has been placed on the IR after pulling her Vastus Medialis on a kick off of all things. Before her "injury" she recorded 2 TD's and 40+ all-purpose yards.
  • Team Blue Captain, Mike Briggs had the play of the day. After being called for "Flag Guarding" the play prior, Briggs did a hands-high triple spin move the next play to evading 3 defenders at once while breaking free to the endzone.
  • Kyle Krol (not to be confused with League Commisioner Mr. Krol) won this week's MVP after recording 6TD's and 130+ yards. Mr. Krol has awarded Kyle with a undisclosed bonus for his stellar performance Saturday.

Free Agents Football Wednesday Nov 2nd Review

FreeAgents football once again had double digit numbers despite missing notebale players like Mike Higbee (MIA). Nathan Burger (I.R. - Ankle) and Brian Stutzman (day-to-day Flu like symptoms) FreeAgents Football had to make dramatic changes to the playing field as "Ferry Frisbee League" refused to adjust their playing field to accomodate the Free-Agents. Regardless of the playing conditions the match-up was a heated exchange between two bitter rivals.

Highlights From Wednesday's Match-Up
  • Yellow Team forced a late game rally comeback after being down 2 scores going into the second half.
  • Newcomer to FAFB Eric Cole had a stellar game throwing for 3 TD completions and a handful of all purpose yards. He was awarded the "Rookie Honors" prize.
  • True Free Agent Harrison "Revis" played spectacular D forcing 3 INT's and recording over 95yards receiving from a number of QB's.
  • Fierce Nikki Pierce played a relentless "D" line forcing 2 sacks and countless amounts of QB hurries. She also had a 2 stellar catches in the open field for 30 yards after the catch.
    • Nikki unfortunately will miss Saturday's game due a suspension mandated by league commish. Mr.Krol stated, "Nikki has not held up to an agreement we had over last week’s Fantasy Football match up. She will be considered for re-instatement once the wager is completed upon."
  • Alan Mowrey ran for the League’s first scramble touchdown after the Yellow Team brought 5 defenders on a zone blitz. Mowrey finally remembered he had Flags and used a combination of cuts and spin moves to blast through the pocket to the endzone.
  • Sam Elmore had a record night of his own on Wednesday. As he set the record for # of Shrimp eaten during Steak Night at the Elbow Room. 3 skewers = 15 shrimp. Elmore stated that he was "prepareing for the real test under the bright lights of Shrimp Fest at The Red Lobster
  • MVP honors for this week go to Alex Krows. He recorded over 120 receiving yards and a few touchdowns or something as he took advantage of Kyle Krol's hamstring injury. AK-47 also had a game ending interception that he nearly took back for a touchdown. He was tackled at the 5 yard line as time expired but secured the W for the Yellow Team.

    Tuesday, October 25th - Recap

Record #'s showed up for last night's Free-Agents Football game. So many in fact, that we introduced a 3 man line with a 3 count rush. Without a doubt, this brought the intensity of the game to a whole new level.

Highlights from last nights game include:
    • "Bandana Mikey" (not to be confused with Mike Higbee) was Craig's Go-To reciever and had a great game, recording over 100 receiving yards running slants up the middle.
    • Sam "Megatron" Elmore (self-named) had a handful of stellar catches and recorded 3TD's in double coverage. The last had to go to a booth review after questions of weather his feet actually were in bounds.
    • History was made last night as the first Female athlete took part in F.A.Fb. Kimberly Heiniger surprised everyone when she stormed the field and had a line-toeing touchdown reception in the deep corner of the endzone in her first game as a Free-Agent.
    • Ndamukong Drew had a breakout performance in the Linebacker Position recording 5 solo tackles, 6 QB hurries, & 4 Sacks.
    • Unfortunately no pictures from last nights match-up were taken, due to the fact that the league photographer/commissioner/web designer was preoccupied recording 2 sacks, 3 deflections, and 97 all-purpose yards.

What's next for Free-Agent's Football? Corporate Sponsors have reached out to League Commissioner Kyle Krol over the past few days. He stated early Wednesday that he would "entertain some ideas," and would "sell-out faster than you can say Fuzzy Vodka."

    Saturday October 22nd (Recap)

Saturday's Free-Agent Football League brought together 10 of the most dedicated football players in Indianapolis. F.A.F.B. was proud to welcome new-comer Nathan Burger to the league. He had 8 receptions and 2 TD (the last being a stellar 1-handed grab in the North Endzone).

Midway through the third quarter, Team 1 added a new player that went by the name "Ronnie." Ronnie was sure to inform us of his past athletic experiences stating numerous times, "I play sports for a living." When asked what sport he was known for he stated "I used to play baseball, but got injured a few years ago." This lead FAFB analysts to believe that he is currently unemployed....However his fresh legs had an immediate impact on the game with a pick-6 and a 85 yard kick-off return.
Team 1 walked away with the victory after Briggs declared that he had to go work, and was already 15 minutes late.

    • The next Free Agents Football game is scheduled for Tuesday, October 25th at 5:30 P.M. Seasonably High temps are expected in this matchup.
